Meet the Founder
I spent nearly two decades serving with one of the largest sheriff's departments in the country. I worked patrol, investigations, and special assignments....nothing flashy, just real work that demanded readiness and sound judgment under pressure.
Early in my career, I was mentored into the Terrorism Liaison Officer program through the Joint Regional Intelligence Center. That role introduced me to the broader threat picture: active shooter planning, infrastructure protection, and inter-agency coordination with state and federal partners. It reshaped how I thought about preparedness, and the kind of gear that matters when things go wrong.
That same mentor later encouraged me to join the Sheriff's Response Team: a 300-man volunteer unit trained for civil unrest, riot control, and large-scale emergencies. Once accepted, I trained across multiple disciplines and focused on the same mission sets I had grown into: critical incident response and threat mitigation in dynamic environments.
When a spinal injury forced me to step away from the badge, I wasn't done working. I built something new: something that combined my law enforcement experience, my time in the field, and a lifelong love for the outdoors.
That's where LYNX Survival Systems comes from. It's not a brand built on buzzwords. It's a commitment to preparedness—backed by time in uniform, hours on the range, and decades under open skies.
